Mumbai: New product launch meant private life insurer HDFC Life had spectacular profitability and growth metrics for the June quarter. The company trumped analysts’ estimates on value for new business margin (VNB), a key indicator of profitability. VNB for June quarter was 29.8%, sharply higher than 24.2% a year ago.
