Warangal: The School of Distance Learning and Continuing Education (SDLCE), Kakatiya University (KU), campus was abuzz with a large number of students on Monday. The students enthusiastically took part in the Haritha Haram programme, a flagship programme of the State government to increase the forest cover in the State to 33 per cent. Leading them was SDLCE Director Prof Guguloth Veeranna. The onus is on everyone to conserve the environment, Prof Veeranna said. Soon, exam reward for distance learning SC/ST students

Worried at the low pass percentage among Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students pursuing higher education through open and distance learning (ODL) mode, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) is proposing changes to┬átackle the problem, including rolling out a new scheme.
